The Listening Room brings participants into direct contact with three leading music professionals with invaluable experience in the international dance industry. In group sessions and personal conversations, they share honest, independent and practice-oriented insights on artistic development, positioning, music, branding and career strategy.

What makes The Listening Room unique is that the experts do not represent a management office, label or agency. Their advice is entirely independent and focused on the artist’s long-term development.

As part of ADE 2026, BumaStemra presents an exclusive The Listening Room, designed for a select group of emerging producers, DJs and electronic music artists with international ambitions.

The Listening Room is a unique mentoring concept built around honest, conflict-free industry advice. Unlike labels, management companies or agencies, the team does not sign artists or seek commercial involvement. Instead, participants receive direct feedback and strategic guidance from some of the most experienced professionals in electronic music.

Led by Jorn Heringa (former Head of A&R at Spinnin’ Records), Meindert Kennis (former CEO of ADE) and Roger de Graaf (co-founder of Spinnin’ Records and former CEO), the session combines group discussions with one-on-one conversations focused on artistic development, career building and navigating today’s global music industry.

This inspiring afternoon hosted by BumaStemra Rise Up and DGTL Academy is dedicated to strengthening the position of women in electronic music.

Building on the documentary Her Sound, the programme brings together artists and industry professionals to reflect on the experiences of women in the scene and explore how the next generation of female talent can be supported. Through a documentary screening, panel discussion and networking lunch, the event focuses on mentorship, career development, visibility and the collective responsibility of the music industry to create meaningful opportunities for emerging female artists.
