MyMusicSafe is a highly requested feature from our members, who wanted a dedicated, secure environment to store and share their music files. In response, we’ve developed this feature within our member portal, MijnBumaStemra.

MyMusicSafe offers you

Secure Storage

As the name suggests, MyMusicSafe is your personal digital vault—a secure space to store and protect everything from music files and lyrics to photos, videos, sheet music, and PDFs. It supports a wide range of file types and allows uploads up to 500MB, so all your creative assets are safe in one place.

Controlled Sharing

With MyMusicSafe, sharing your files with others is simple and secure. All you need is the recipient’s email addresss – they don’t need to be a BumaStemra member. You have full control over how long your file is accessible – whether it’s 30 minutes, 3 days, 3 months, or forever, the choice is yours.

Once shared, the recipient(s) will receive a link to view or listen to the file within the timeframe you’ve chosen. Plus, you don’t have to worry about unauthorized forwarding. If the file is shared, the new recipient will need an access code to open it, which you can provide if you wish.

Automatic Timestamp

Each time you upload a file, you’ll receive a confirmation email with a timestamp and a downloadable PDF. The timestamp includes a unique hash code linked to the upload details, providing supporting documentation for ownership in any stage of the creation process.

Please note: While the timestamp provides valuable documentation, BumaStemra cannot guarantee that it offers absolute proof of ownership at this time.

Organized Projects

Keep all versions of your work neatly organized in project folders within MyMusicSafe. You can upload multiple versions of a file, and the platform will automatically track your version history. This allows you to follow the entire creative process, from a simple melody to a fully mixed and mastered track, with all changes clearly documented and easy to access.
