What is the annual contribution?

All member composers and songwriters pay BumaStemra an annual fee. You do not have to pay this contribution separately (except for the first year). It will be offset against your income.

As a composer/songwriter, you pay your annual contribution in December, prior to the calendar year it relates to. This amount is € 63,55 and is deducted from your income. If there has been no income from music use, then you will receive the base payment of € 70,-. You will receive an invoice for your administration. You don’t have to pay the annual contribution to us separately.

The annual contribution for publishers is € 127,10. This amount is deducted from income. If there has been no income, you will also receive the base payment as a publisher. This amount is € 140,- (€ 169,40 inc. VAT).
