Membership BumaStemra 2025

Changes at BumaStemra Starting January 1, 2025
As of January 1, 2025, several important updates will take effect for (new) members of BumaStemra:

• Elimination of Registration Fees
  The registration fee for new members will be abolished. This means that, starting in 2025, you can join BumaStemra free of charge.
• No Membership Fee in the First Year
  Music creators who join after January 1, 2025, will not have to pay a membership fee during their first year. The regular membership fee will apply from the second year onwards.
• Changes to the Basic Allowance for New Members
  Each year, BumaStemra supplements its members’ royalties with a so-called basic allowance. This allowance ensures that members receive an amount slightly higher than the membership fee. For new members, the following changes apply:
  – In the first year, new members will not receive the basic allowance.
  – From the second year onwards, the basic allowance will apply, just as it does for all other members.

With these changes, BumaStemra aims to make it simpler and more accessible to become a member, while maintaining the regular benefits starting from the second year.
