User generate content includes homemade videos on platforms like YouTube, Facebook, TikTok and other social media platforms. The main feature of User Generated Content is that it is not produced by companies or professional content creators, but by the users of a platform or service themselves.

Once your request has been processed, you will be able to make your own agreements. It is your responsibility to take care of whitelisting your music yourself. You can do this per video, per platform.

Whitelisting means specifying on a per-film, per-platform basis that you waive further income for the use of your music. If you make this arrangement with the platform, BumaStemra will not receive any information, and we will not collect any payment for the work.

If both of you agree and complete the application together, then you can take advantage of this scheme. It is your responsibility to make agreements and whitelist your music on content platforms.

You will need to contact the relevant platform directly for this. Not all platforms offer the possibility of whitelisting.

When arranging the pricing for the Sync, you may have agreed that any further revenue will go to the content creator.

No, there is currently only a scheme in place for the use of music in user generated content. Sync agreements for TV and/or VOD and/or corporate films can be arranged through Stemra.
