How do I change my bank account number?

You can update your bank details in MijnBumaStemra. Click the account icon in the top-right corner, go to My details, and under Bank/identification select Add.

Then add the following information and documents:

• Upload a copy of your bank statement
• It may be no older than one month.
• It must clearly show the account number and account holder’s name.
• For foreign bank accounts, also upload a document showing: bank name, bank address, and Swift code (and if you live in the US, the routing number as well).
• You may redact any other information.\
• Authors can only provide a private (personal) bank account number.
• Publishers may only provide a business bank account number if it matches the name of the legal entity or the name registered with the Chamber of Commerce (KvK).

It’s important that your account number and the account holder’s name are clearly visible on the documents you provide. Please redact any additional information.

Identification

We verify your identity using a copy of your ID. Here’s how:

• Create a copy or photo of the front and back of a valid ID (passport or identity card). A driver’s licence is not accepted as valid identification.
• Upload the copy or photo in colour.
• Submit the full document — the copy must show the entire page, including all corners. No scanned or cropped versions.
• Note: always upload both the front and the back of your ID copy. (For Dutch passports, the backside shows your citizen service number.)
