New legislation: submit your Citizen Service Number (BSN) through MijnBumaStemra

Update

Licentie New legislation

Composers and authors affiliated to BumaStemra have received notice from BumaStemra about new legislation in the submission of data to the tax authorities. This new legislation requires BumaStemra to pass on Citizen Service Numbers (BSN) to the tax authorities by January 31, 2023 at the latest.

To comply with this obligation, we require the Citizen Service Numbers (BSN) of our affiliated composers and authors. To ensure the security of sharing the BSN, it can only be submitted through the secure MijnBumaStemra account.

Never share your Citizen Service Number (BSN) via email, letter, or phone. Our staff is not authorized or able to process these details!

Legal Obligation

BumaStemra is under a legal obligation to provide accurate and complete Citizen Service Numbers (BSN) of affiliated composers and lyricists to the Tax Authorities. Failure to do so may result in fines imposed by the tax authorities. BumaStemra reserves the right to suspend payments and/or pass on imposed fines to members who have not provided, or have provided incorrect, information. BumaStemra cannot verify the accuracy of the information you provide; you are solely responsible for this.
