Below you will find answers to frequently asked questions about Track & Trace Online.
Frequently asked questions
I don’t see my work in Track & Trace Online. Why is that?
There are several reasons why a work may not (yet) be visible in Track & Trace Online:
Your work has not (yet) been registered
Only registered works are shown. If your work has not yet been registered, you can do so via ‘Works’ in MyBumaStemra.
Your work was registered recently
After registration, it may take up to 14 days for a work to appear in Track & Trace Online.
Fewer than 100 streams/downloads
We only show works that have reached more than 100 streams or downloads on a single platform within one month.
Data update timing
The data is updated twice a month: on the 1st and the 21st.
Your work is in conflict
If a work is in conflict, it will be temporarily hidden until the conflict has been resolved.
The link to your work is missing or incorrect
During our internal processing, we link sound recording information from DSPs to the works in our database. It is possible that a correct match has not (yet) been made. If you suspect this is the case, please send us the ISRCs that you know contain your work.
Why aren’t all of my earnings visible?
In Track & Trace Online (and in your online statement), you only see income from countries that are covered by BumaStemra’s direct agreements with the relevant DSPs.
Income from other countries is included in the international statement.
Which countries are covered by direct agreements differs per agreement. In general, the following countries are always excluded from direct deals:
- North America (except for mechanical rights on the US mainland)
- South America (except for mechanical rights in Brazil)
- Canada
- Australia & New Zealand
- Japan
- North and South Korea
- China
I’m missing a provider in the filter options. Why is that?
We continuously add new services to Track & Trace Online. Once a provider is connected, it will automatically appear in the filter options, including all available historical data.
#permalinkWhy is there a difference between my statement and the amounts shown in Track & Trace Online?
Track & Trace Online shows what is currently in the pipeline and also provides detailed data for previous months. Because we continuously receive new data, the amounts shown in Track & Trace Online may differ from your final statement.
This can be caused by, for example:
- Track & Trace Online shows gross amounts; in your statement, approximately 9% in service costs is deducted.
- Corrections in our matching process. We link streams from a sound recording to the correct work in our database. Sometimes a new work is added, or a link is manually corrected. As a result, a track that was previously linked to your work may later be linked to a different work, or vice versa. This can change previously shown amounts.
When can I expect my first payment?
In general, you can expect a processing period of approximately six months before the first payment is made. Below you will find an example for music usage in January.
